Do you regularly attend networking meetings and find, once home, your pockets are full of business cards and they just end up in a container with last week’s cards? If yes, then you need to ask the following question: how do I manage them more effectively?
- Do you keep them all in a little box, beautifully organised in alphabetical order but of no use when you are out and about?

I have a solution that works for me, and helps me keep track of who I meet, where, when and the information I need about them.
I use a simple business card scanner on my mobile called CamCard. I simply scan the card and the app reads the information and converts it into a usable format. It also takes a handy photo of the card for future reference, which is useful if you want to stop just there and keep the information to hand as you can refer back to it later. If the card is particularly colourful, shiny or not very well laid out some minor editing may need to be done, but this straight forward.
